Beulah Marlowe

Beulah Killian Marlowe, 91, of West 13th Street, Newton died Monday afternoon at Catawba Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Nov 11 1890 in Burke county, she was the daughter of the late Julius Paul Killian and Emma Harris Killian, both of Catawba County.

A lifelong member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church here, she was the widow of Edward Franklin Marlowe, who died in 1964.

Surviving are three sons, Ward Marlowe of Newton, Lester Marlowe of Mt Gillian and Maynard Marlowe of Protland ME; two daughters, Mrs Ray (Edith) Bowman of Newton and Mrs Ned (Willie) Ramseur of Newton; a sister Mrs Lola Rowe of Icard; two half sisters, Mrs Margaret Teague of Hickory and Mrs Blanche Tallent of Asheville; a half brother, J P Killian of Hickory; a stepbrother, Hubert Lafon of Newton; 22 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
