In the Name of God Amen!
I James Marlow of the State of North Carolina and County of Wilkes being now in perfect mind and memory do make and confirm this my last will and testament this 21st day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and fifty. Item the first: It is my will and desire that so much of my property be sold as will pay all my just debts. Item 2nd: It is my will and desire and I hereby give and bequeath and devise unto my beloved wife Mary Marlow all my Estate real and personal during her natural life or or widowhood and after the death or marriage of my beloved wife it is my will and desire all the remains of my estate both real and personal shall be equally devided amongst all my children namely Chapman Marlow, Hilly Marlow, Minerva Marlow, Beverly Marlow, James H Marlow, Elvira Marlow, Hugh Marlow, Albert Marlow this is my will and I do hereby appoint William Mastin, Esqr my Executor to this my last will & testament, which I have this day made and confirmed and have hereunto set my hand & seal this day
